Ellesmere Port Angling Club: Match Report

This match marked our very first visit to Jacobs Fishery, and it certainly did not disappoint—giving up some fantastic weights across both sections!

Taking top spot overall was Mike Roberts, who put together a phenomenal net of 132 lbs 10 oz from peg 8 in Section A. A fantastic display of angling to claim back-to-back match wins!

Section Winners & Results

With Mike taking overall match honours from Section A, the second-placed angler in that section inherits a default section win. Here is the breakdown across both sections:

• Section A Winner: Mike Roberts won the section (and the overall match) with 132 lbs 10 oz from peg 8. Following club rules, the default section win goes to second-placed Paul Lennon, who put a strong 57 lbs 12 oz on the scales from peg 10. (Tenchy finished 3rd in the section with 54 lbs 5 oz on peg 2, Ian Myers weighed 35 lbs 4 oz on peg 4, and Syd Taylor brought in 24 lbs 9 oz on peg 6).

• Section B Winner: Mark Davies claimed the Section B victory with a brilliant weight of 86 lbs 8 oz from peg 18. (Gary Boydell finished runner-up in Section B with 80 lbs 1 oz on peg 22, Andy Fletcher weighed 43 lbs 15 oz on peg 24, Steve Matthews brought in 40 lbs 13 oz on peg 16, and Wayne Jevons weighed 39 lbs 2 oz on peg 20).
