Our latest club match took place on 4 October 2026 at Cheshire Oaks, where members faced tough competition across three sections.

A massive congratulations to Mike Roberts, who took the overall match win with an impressive net of 60 lbs 7 oz from peg 23. To top off a fantastic day on the bank, Mike also claimed the £100 golden peg prize for the second time this year at Cheshire Oaks!

Section Winners & Results

With Mike taking the overall win from Section B, the second-placed angler in that section inherits a default section win. Here is how the sections shaped up:

• Section A Winner: Paul Lennon secured the section win from peg 27 with a great weight of 43 lbs 14 oz. (Andy Fletcher followed closely with 29 lbs 4 oz on peg 1, and Stevie Matthews weighed in 27 lbs 15 oz on peg 3).

• Section B Winner: Mike Roberts took the section (and overall match win) with 60 lbs 7 oz from peg 23. Following the rules, since the section winner took the overall match, the second-placed angler in Section B—John Mills, who weighed 31 lbs 0 oz from peg 9—gets a default section win. (Syd Taylor finished with 21 lbs 12 oz on peg 7, and Brian Siddley brought in 15 lbs 0 oz on peg 5).

• Section C Winner: Simon Bayley claimed the top spot in Section C from peg 13 with 56 lbs 12 oz. (Mark Davies took second in the section with 55 lbs 11 oz on peg 21, Gary Boydell weighed 49 lbs 12 oz on peg 11, Pete Doyle brought in 36 lbs 10 oz on peg 17, and Martin Siddley weighed 19 lbs 3 oz on peg 19).
