14. Border

We made a long-awaited return to Border Fishery on Sunday, 13 September 2026, marking our first club match at the venue in a number of years. Anglers were greeted with fantastic weather all day, enjoying warm and sunny conditions throughout the session.

Gary Boydell put on a dominant display on Peg 28 to claim overall 1st place with a magnificent 116 lbs 15 oz. Mark Davies finished as overall runner-up from Peg 33 with a strong 71 lbs 11 oz, while Andy Lavender took 3rd place overall from Peg 16 with 42 lbs 8 oz.

Section A Breakdown

Andy Lavender led Section A with a winning weight of 42 lbs 8 oz from Peg 16. Ian Myers backed up strong with 37 lbs 7 oz on Peg 10 for 2nd in section, closely followed by Mike Roberts with 36 lbs 3 oz.

Section B produced the overall match winner, Gary Boydell, who smashed past the ton mark with 116 lbs 15 oz on Peg 28. A tight battle for 2nd in section saw Jimmy Crimes (41 lbs 9 oz) just edge out Martin Siddley (40 lbs 2 oz).
