Ellesmere Port Angling Club Match Report: Yewtree

We headed to Yewtree for our latest match. Taking the individual crown with a stellar performance was Gary Boydell, who fished from Peg 12 to land an impressive bag of 64 lbs 6 oz and secure 1st place.

Overall Top Standings

Following Gary Boydell at the top of the leaderboard, Stevie Matthews put in a great shift to claim 2nd place with 58 lbs 14 oz. Simon Bayley secured 3rd place with 40 lbs 4 oz, Mike Roberts took 4th place with 34 lbs 6 oz, and Martin Siddley rounded out the top five with 32 lbs 14 oz.

Section Breakdown

In Section A, Simon Bayley led the way by finishing in 3rd position overall with 40 lbs 4 oz. He was followed by Martin Siddley in 5th with 32 lbs 14 oz, Tenchy in 10th with 18 lbs 1 oz, Paul Lennon in 12th with 15 lbs 0 oz, and John Croft who completed the section in 15th with 4 lbs 6 oz.

Over in Section B, Gary Boydell dominated to take the overall win with his 64 lbs 6 oz haul. Stevie Matthews joined him at the top end of the field, taking 2nd overall with 58 lbs 14 oz. They were supported by Mike Roberts in 4th overall with 34 lbs 6 oz, Jimmy Crimes in 6th position with 24 lbs 13 oz, and Pete Doyle in 8th position with 22 lbs 6 oz.

Finally, Section C saw fierce competition led by Andy Lavender, who finished in 7th position with 24 lbs 8 oz. John Mills closely followed in 9th position with 21 lbs 14 oz, Wayne Jevons took 11th position with 15 lbs 3 oz, Brian Siddley finished in 13th position with 12 lbs 7 oz, and Andy Fletcher wrapped up the day with 5 lbs 14 oz for 14th position.
