Ellesmere Port AC Rules 2023
1. All members plus any visitors must hold a current valid Environment Agency rod Licence.
2. All members must follow the local fishery rules. Failure to do so could result in disciplinary action.
3. Barbed hooks on Barbless waters. Committee members can check hooks at any time during the match. If ANY member is caught using a barbed hook then they will be yellow carded i.e. banned from the next three matches. If the same member re-offends during that year then they will be red carded i.e. kicked out of the club.
4. All members should weigh in if they catch fish to ensure that competitions are fair. If a member has to leave early then they can be weighed in before the end of the match. Failure to do so could result in a person being excluded from all competitions.
5. All ex members must pay any subs owing before being allowed back into the club.
6. If a member is two months behind with subs they will be unable to fish until subs are brought up to date. If a member is three or more months behind with subs they will be unable to fish until debts are cleared and risk losing membership at Committee's discretion.
7. Members must fish at least half of the annual matches eligible to qualify for the Fur & Feather prizes. If a member is behind on Subs then they won't be eligible to Fur & Feather prizes (amendment passed AGM 2023)
8. New entrants voted in if accepted by the majority rather than being blocked by one member.
9. Club Membership restricted to 22 active members (Increased from 20 at 2023 AGM).
10. Disabled Pegs Once the committee have agreed an angler can go into the disabled pegs, then they must stay in the pegs for the whole season. The disabled peg draw will include the number of disabled anglers plus two extra pegs (1DA 3 pegs, 2DA 4 pegs and 3DA 5 pegs) and must be first accessible pegs.
These rules are subject to change at the next AGM.
