15. River Weaver - Marina Section

We headed to the River Weaver - Marina stretch on Sunday, 27 September 2026 for the latest match of the season.

Gary Boydell made it back-to-back victories by taking overall 1st place with a top weight of 12 lbs 9 oz from Peg 2. Jimmy Crimes pushed him hard from Peg 1, taking overall runner-up with 9 lbs 13 oz, while Tenchy completed an all-Section A top three overall by finishing 3rd with 8 lbs 1 oz from Peg 4.

Section A Breakdown

Section A proved to be the flyer of the day, producing the top three overall match weights. Match winner Gary Boydell led the section with 12 lbs 9 oz from Peg 2, closely followed by Jimmy Crimes (9 lbs 13 oz) and Tenchy (8 lbs 1 oz).

Section B was a tight, low-weight affair where every ounce mattered. Paul Lennon claimed Section B victory from Peg 9 with 2 lbs 11 oz, edging out Ian Myers on Peg 7 (2 lbs 4 oz) and Syd Taylor on Peg 10 (2 lbs 3 oz).
