Match Results 

A mild, sunny day greeted the club at Hampton Springs’ Willow pool, making for a pleasant session on the bank. The bright conditions kept the fish moving and made anglers work for their bites, but there were some healthy nets across the pegs.

Section A was competitive throughout. Simon Bayley on Peg 1 topped the section with 38lb 12oz (2nd overall). Dave Kell had a solid day with 27lb 15oz, while Mike Roberts (14lb 12oz) and Ian Myers (10lb 11oz) also put in respectable weights.

Section B produced the day’s top weight — Andy Lavender on Peg 6 smashed it with 50lb to take the overall win. Wayne Jevons (33lb 11oz) finished strongly in the section, with Andy Fletcher (26lb 12oz) and Syd Taylor (24lb 0oz) filling out the places. Tenchy finished the section with 2lb 9oz.

Section C was headed by Paul Lennon on Peg 10 with 37lb 9oz, securing the section win and 3rd overall. Gary Boydell (36lb 12oz) was close behind to take 4th overall. The rest of the section saw Stevie Matthews with 7lb 4oz, Martin Sidley with 6lb 2oz, and Brian Siddley with 4lb 2oz.

The Knock Out Cup goes to the final match — it will be decided at Stamford Way, where Gary Boydell and Mike Roberts will go head-to-head for the trophy. Should be a great showdown!
