The club returned to Bron Eiffon Lakes in Criccieth at the end of March (27th-29th) to run our annual 3 day festival. Unfortunately this year we weren't blessed with the weather. Most of the week was overcast, wet and windy but there was the odd sunny spell and even a rogue hale storm!
It was a tight affair going into the last day with 3 anglers on 3 points each, Brian Siddley, Gary Boydell and Mike Roberts.
Gary and Mike both drew on the damn wall on the final day (albeit in different sections) while Brian was on the same peg he drew on day 2 on the island.
At the final weigh in on the island section Brian was beaten by Jimmy. He did however finish second in section and finished the festival on 5 points. Well done Brian.
That left the damn wall to be weighed in and Gary had managed to put together another great net of stockies to win the match and the festival overall on 4 points. Great angling from Gary who has never fished the venue before and still managed to win the festival.
Mike had a tough day on the damn wall and while he caught well it wasn't enough. He finished 3rd in section and that gave him a 3rd place finish in the festival on 6 points.
Also well done to Andy Fletcher who was the clear winner of the Silvers Trophy with double figure nets each day.
See below for weight sheets and final festival standings.
